Maia Wikler - Director

A National Geographic Explorer, Ph.D. candidate, writer, and a filmmaker based on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. She focuses her research on memory as a tool of resistance in the face of corporate abuse, specifically deforestation. Her reporting appears in Teen Vogue, VICE, Vogue, High Country News, and Canada’s National Observer, among many others.  Her directorial debut, the documentary film "Walking Two Worlds," premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Wikler was recently selected as a filmmaker-in-residence at the Woodstock Film Festival.

Cecilia Brown - Producer, Editor

A documentary director, producer, and editor based in Portland, OR. Her credits include Oh Whale (2025), Strong Grandma (2024)

and Walking Two Worlds (2023), and her work has been published by HBO, The New

Yorker, This American Life, The San Francisco MOMA, and has been supported by the

Catapult Film Fund. Cecilia has a Master's in Multimedia Journalism, and is co-owner of

Sideyard Studios.

Audrey Maria Popa - Producer

A Canadian-Romanian writer, National Geographic Explorer, and PhD student at the University College London. Supported by the Arts and Humanities Research Council Doctoral Landscape Award and the SSHRC Doctoral Award, her research explores Eastern European environmental histories across the communist and post-communist periods.

Winslow Crane-Murdoch  -Director of Photography 

A director and cinematographer,

Winslow’s credits include the award-winning films Oh Whale, Strong Grandma, and The Quiet Epidemic. His work has appeared on HBO, TIME magazine, Outside TV, the San Francisco MOMA, and has been supported by the Catapult Film Fund. He is co-owner of Sideyard Studios.
